hi!

I’m andy of candypaintjob! (and my thats my studio assistant Twirl)

I am a painter living and working out of my studio in Milwaukee, WI.

I grew up in small-town Wisconsin and graduated with my BFA from UW-Green Bay. I spent the last decade in corporate product development while simultaneously working on my “9-5” painting collection. The work is a reflection of the culture and experiences that they were painted through.

When I’m not painting I keep my hands busy with all sorts of new projects. I recently started what I call the “clog shop.” It started as a way to make my yoga slides more practical and has morphed into it’s own project exploring re-usability, nostalgia, and oddly enough, a connection to my Dutch heritage. I have also began creating music album artwork (most recently for Christian Chambers). Challenging myself to morph physical and digital worlds.
